The Community Involvement Scheme (CIS) is currently open for applications until Friday June 9 2023 for local tertiary roads in County Louth

Under the scheme, the Council pay for 90% of the costs of resurfacing, while 10% is paid by those home-owners, land owners or farmers who have signed up to contribute towards the resurfacing. While there is a few years of a waiting list under the scheme, once an application is successful the Council should carry out patching until it the road is fully resurfaced.
